The Story
Tudung
In Malaysia, the tudung is more than an accessory. It’s the first thing you reach for in the morning and the last detail you check in the mirror before Raya photos. Our collection brings together every style we make, from crisp square bawal to quick slip-on sarung, flowing shawls and instant pieces, all in colours chosen to match the baju kurung, kebarung and kebaya in your wardrobe.
Four Styles, One Collection
Each style suits a different kind of day. Here’s how to choose.
Bawal — the square classic
A square piece folded into a triangle and pinned under the chin. It gives a neat, structured frame around the face and is a favourite for the office, school and formal events. → Shop Tudung Bawal
Shawl — the long drape
A long rectangle you wrap and drape your own way, from a simple loop to a fuller cover over the chest. It’s the most versatile style and looks elegant for majlis and dinners. → Shop Tudung Shawl
Instant — shaped for speed
Pre-shaped shawls that sit neatly in seconds, with little or no pinning. Our Superfast, Superfast 3.0 and Rania Seminit designs are built for busy mornings. → Shop Instant Shawl
Sarung — slip on and go
A pull-on style with the shape already sewn in. It’s the quickest of all, comfortable for long days, errands and travel. → Shop Tudung Sarung
How to Choose by Your Day
For the office. A bawal or an instant style keeps a sharp, professional line that stays neat through meetings.
For the school run and errands. A sarung or a fully instant piece is ready in seconds.
For majlis, nikah and Raya. A shawl in satin or a soft drape adds elegance and photographs beautifully with songket and brocade.
For travel and umrah. Light, breathable instant pieces that are easy to adjust and quick to take off for wuduk.
Fabrics We Use
Our instant pieces are made from premium Korean moss crepe, a soft, matte fabric with a little stretch that breathes well in Malaysian heat and doesn’t slip easily. For dressier occasions, our satin shawls add a gentle sheen that pairs beautifully with festive fabrics. Each product page lists the fabric so you know exactly what you’re choosing.
Colour-Matched to Our Baju
Our hijab colours share names with our baju collections, from Maroon, Teal Green and Emerald Green to Dusty Pink, Dusty Green and Pearl White. That makes building a coordinated outfit simple. Go tonal for a long, clean line, choose a contrasting shade to frame the face, or pick one colour from a printed baju and repeat it on your head. Shop Baju Kurung and Baju Kebarung to complete the look.
Caring for Your Hijab
Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle inside a laundry bag, or by hand. Press out water instead of wringing, and dry in the shade so colours stay rich. Moss crepe rarely needs ironing; if it does, use low heat. Iron satin on the reverse side at low heat, and store instant pieces folded along their natural shape so they keep their structure.

Frequently Asked Questions
It literally means covering. In Malaysia, it’s the everyday Malay word for a hijab, the head covering worn by Muslim women.
In everyday use, yes. Hijab is the Arabic-origin term used internationally, while Malaysians usually say the Malay word. Both describe the same head covering.
An instant or sarung style is the easiest, because the shape is already made. A bawal or long shawl takes a little more practice to pin and drape.
Instant and sarung styles slip off and on quickly. Our Slit Instant Shawl has a built-in opening to make it even easier.
Our hijab colours are named to match our baju collections. If you want to be sure, WhatsApp us a photo of your baju and we’ll suggest a match.
